The Vransko Jezero Nature Park is a special ornithological reserve, which due to the preservation of a large reed marsh on the north-west part of the lake as a rare wetland system, its great biodiversity and outstanding scientific and ecological value was given that status in 1983 and has been listed among the Important Bird Areas in Europe. Visitors can obtain information about the park in the visitor centres in Prosica and Kamenjak.
